Job Brief

As a Gunner’s Mate G (Guns), you will play a crucial role in the targeting, firing, and maintenance of advanced weapon systems designed to neutralize enemy threats, including positions, aircraft, and maritime vessels. This position requires hands-on experience with a variety of artillery systems, including guns, cannons, howitzers, and missile systems. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to conduct preventive maintenance on weapons and related equipment, ensuring optimal operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain artillery systems, including guns, howitzers, and missile launchers to ensure effective combat operations.
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and storage of ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes to ensure safety and compliance with military standards.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on weapon systems and associated equipment to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications for coordination during operations.
  • Utilize weapons targeting and firing computer systems to accurately engage enemy targets.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for effective weapon deployment in various combat scenarios.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures during all operations to minimize risks and ensure mission success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; military training in artillery or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining artillery systems and weaponry.
  • Strong understanding of ballistics, targeting systems, and fire control procedures.
  • Technical proficiency with weapon systems, including guns, cannons, and missiles.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and maintain focus under stress.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
  • Certification in weapon handling and safety protocols is highly desirable.
