Job Brief
The Guided Missile Launching System Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of missile systems used to engage enemy targets, including aircraft and surface vessels. Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on guided missile launching systems and associated equipment.
- Test, inspect, and store ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes according to military standards.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications during operations.
- Operate weapons targeting and launch computer systems to ensure accurate engagement of targets.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Adhere to safety regulations and operational protocols at all times.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new technologies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in military technology or electronics preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of missile systems or related military equipment.
- Strong understanding of weapons targeting and launch computer systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards and military operational protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in varied environments and adapt to changing conditions.
- Valid military clearance may be required for specific roles.
