Job Brief

As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will lead and motivate individuals and groups in various fitness activities, focusing on personal wellness and fitness goals. You will demonstrate proper exercise techniques, provide corrective feedback, and develop tailored fitness plans that enhance participants’ physical capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for fitness, and a commitment to creating a positive and engaging environment for all fitness levels.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct group exercise classes, including aerobics, yoga, Pilates, and strength training.
  • Demonstrate effective exercise techniques and correct form to maximize participant safety and performance.
  • Observe participants and provide constructive feedback to improve their exercise skills.
  • Design and implement individualized fitness programs that cater to diverse participant needs.
  • Maintain a positive and energetic atmosphere to encourage participant engagement and retention.
  • Monitor and assess participants’ progress and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Promote health and wellness through education on fitness principles, nutrition, and lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure a clean and safe workout environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Certification from a recognized fitness organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA).
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, group dynamics, and safety protocols.
  • Previous experience as a fitness instructor or in a similar role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with participants.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their fitness goals.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends.
