Job Brief
The Golf Course Laborer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of golf course grounds, ensuring a pristine and playable environment for golfers. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and irrigation system installation. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience with landscaping tools and equipment, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand and power tools to landscape and maintain the golf course grounds.
- Perform sod laying, mowing, trimming, and planting to enhance course aesthetics.
- Water, fertilize, and maintain healthy turf and plant life.
- Dig, rake, and prepare soil for planting and landscaping projects.
- Install and maintain sprinkler systems for optimal irrigation.
- Assist with the installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units as needed.
- Monitor and manage the health of grass and plant species on the course.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with power equipment and hand tools used in landscaping.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of turf management and horticulture practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for some roles.
