Job Brief
The Golf Club Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the golf club, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating entertainment and recreational activities while managing staff, budgets, and marketing strategies. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in recreational management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for the golf industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the golf club, including budgeting, staffing, and customer service.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote club events and activities.
- Coordinate golf tournaments, leagues, and other recreational events to enhance member engagement.
- Oversee facility maintenance and improvements to ensure a high-quality experience for all guests.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, providing ongoing development and performance evaluations.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
- Foster relationships with members, addressing concerns and feedback to improve services.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for equipment, food, and beverage services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in management within a recreational or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and engage with members.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Knowledge of golf operations, rules, and etiquette is preferred.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques and event planning.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
