Job Brief
As a Glass Etcher, you will play a vital role in the engraving and etching of various materials, including glass, metal, wood, and rubber. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate etching machines to engrave designs on glass and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on etching equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to create customized etching solutions.
- Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Utilize various etching techniques, including sandblasting and laser etching, to achieve desired results.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to industry best practices for safety and efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used for inventory management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in engraving or etching preferred.
- Proven experience as a glass etcher or in a similar role within the engraving industry.
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with operating engraving machinery.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
