Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid state medical license.
  • Completed residency in Psychiatry, with a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry is required; Geriatric Psychiatry certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in assessing and treating mental disorders in elderly populations.
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health issues, including dementia and depression.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
