Job Brief
As a Geodetic Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in making precise measurements to determine property boundaries and provide essential data related to the shape, contour, and elevation of land features. Responsibilities
- Conduct geodetic surveys using advanced surveying instruments and technologies to collect accurate data.
- Analyze geographic data to determine land boundaries and property lines for legal and construction purposes.
- Prepare detailed maps and reports that visualize data for clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate survey data into construction and development projects.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software to manage and interpret spatial data.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in land surveying practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surveying technology and industry advancements.
- Provide expert testimony in court regarding surveying-related legal disputes, if necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Geodetic Surveyor or in a similar role within the surveying industry.
- Strong proficiency in surveying equipment and software, including total stations, GPS, and CAD software.
- Valid professional surveying license or certification (e.g., LSIT, PLS) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex information to clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in land surveying.
