Job Brief

The Generating Station Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment in generating stations, substations, and in-service relays. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic in the power generation or electrical utility industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit analysis, and relay logic.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in electrical maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
