Job Brief
As a Gas Cylinder Processor, you will play a critical role in the handling and processing of various gases, including butane, nitrogen, hydrogen, and natural gas. Your primary responsibilities will include operating steam-, gas-, electric motor-, and internal combustion-engine driven compressors to transmit, compress, or recover gases efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of gas processing equipment, safety protocols, and industry standards, ensuring the effective and safe operation of gas cylinder systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain gas compression systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and control the flow of gases during processing and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on compressors and gas processing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to improve gas processing efficiency and safety measures.
- Document operational data and prepare reports on gas processing activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all gas handling processes.
- Train junior staff on gas processing techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in gas processing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in operating gas compressors and handling various gases.
- Strong understanding of gas processing equipment and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to gas handling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
