Job Brief
As a Funeral Arranger, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and professional funeral services. You will coordinate all aspects of the funeral process, including interviewing bereaved families to gather necessary details, arranging transportation for the deceased, and assisting in the selection of pallbearers and officiants. Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with family members to gather information and preferences for funeral arrangements.
- Coordinate the transportation of the deceased to the mortuary and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Assist families in selecting pallbearers, officiants, and other participants for the funeral service.
- Organize and oversee the logistics of the funeral service, including venue setup and timing of events.
- Provide transportation services for mourners and ensure comfort and support during the service.
- Maintain accurate records of arrangements and financial transactions related to the services provided.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to grieving families throughout the planning process.
- Collaborate with other funeral home staff to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in mortuary science preferred.
- Proven experience as a Funeral Arranger or in a similar role within the funeral services industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with families and clients.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Knowledge of local regulations and legal requirements related to funeral services.
- Proficiency in using funeral management software and other related technologies.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
