Job Brief

The Frozen Meat Cutter is responsible for efficiently and accurately cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of frozen meat, poultry, and seafood. This role requires hands-on experience with manual cutting tools and machinery, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a hygienic work environment. Previous experience in a meat processing or food production setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize hand tools and cutting equipment to slice and trim frozen meat, poultry, and seafood products.
  • Inspect and assess the quality of meat products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Package and label finished products for distribution, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food handling is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role within the food processing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of meat processing techniques and safety standards.
  • Ability to operate cutting tools, saws, and other meat processing equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
