Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook daily meals for fraternity members, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Plan weekly menus, incorporating a variety of healthy and appealing options.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Manage inventory and order groceries and supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
- Collaborate with fraternity leadership to accommodate special events, theme dinners, and celebrations.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to ensure high standards.
- Train and supervise any kitchen assistants or volunteers, fostering a positive work environment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health codes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a residential, institutional, or similar setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and dietary needs.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with fraternity members and staff.
