Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Fracturing Rotary Drill Operator to join our team in the oil and gas industry. In this role, you will set up and operate advanced drilling equipment to extract oil and gas from underground reserves, as well as gather core samples for geological testing. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in drilling operations, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate rotary drilling rigs to penetrate subsurface formations for oil and gas extraction.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
- Monitor drilling parameters and adjust equipment settings to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with geological teams to ensure accurate core sampling and data collection.
- Maintain accurate logs of drilling activities, including depth, pressure, and other relevant metrics.
- Implement safety measures and adhere to industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Train and mentor junior drill operators in safe and efficient drilling practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fracturing Rotary Drill Operator or in a similar role within the oil and gas sector.
- Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications (e.g., H2S Awareness, First Aid).
- Strong understanding of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Proficient in using drilling software and monitoring systems.
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to shifting work schedules.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
