Job Brief
As a Formulary Chemist, you will play a critical role in conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments in laboratory settings. Your primary responsibilities will involve ensuring quality control and contributing to the development of new products. You will utilize your expertise in analytical chemistry and formulation science to support process optimization and innovation while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses to assess product quality and compliance.
- Develop and optimize formulations for new and existing products, ensuring effectiveness and safety.
- Perform experiments to evaluate the stability, potency, and performance of chemical compounds.
- Document and analyze experimental results; prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and production, to drive product development initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting product formulation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a chemist, preferably in a formulary or product development role.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, and spectroscopy.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration and reporting.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and laboratory management systems.
