Job Brief
The Forming Roll Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending machines that roll steel or plastic to create bends, beads, knurls, or plates. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust forming roll machines to specifications, ensuring accurate production of materials.
- Operate machinery to roll steel or plastic, achieving desired shapes and sizes.
- Monitor machine operations to maintain optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on forming equipment to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Document production data and machine settings for quality control and reporting purposes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machine operation is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Forming Roll Operator or in a similar machine operation role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality assurance practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
