Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to operate industrial trucks and tractors for the efficient movement of materials in a warehouse, factory, or construction site. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of forklift operations and safety regulations, along with proven experience in material handling. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report stock levels as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents.
- Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse layout for efficient operations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in forklift operation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver or similar role in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Strong understanding of material handling techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
