Job Brief
As a Food Chemist, you will conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses in a laboratory setting to ensure quality control, develop new food products, and enhance existing formulations. Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical analyses to assess the composition and quality of food products.
- Develop and optimize food formulations and processing techniques.
- Perform experiments to evaluate the stability and shelf-life of food products.
- Utilize analytical methods such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and titration.
- Document and interpret experimental data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and quality assurance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in food chemistry.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Food Chemist or in a related role within the food industry.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment used in food analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in food safety or quality control are beneficial.
