Job Brief
The Fly Rail Operator is responsible for setting up and repairing rigging systems for a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, shipping, and entertainment. This role requires a keen understanding of safety protocols, technical rigging skills, and hands-on experience with rigging equipment. Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle fly rail systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Inspect and maintain rigging equipment, identifying and repairing any faults or issues.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop efficient rigging plans.
- Operate rigging machinery and tools, including hoists, pulleys, and winches.
- Ensure all rigging setups meet industry regulations and organizational policies.
- Train and supervise junior rigging staff on best practices and safety procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents.
- Document rigging procedures and maintain accurate records of equipment use and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fly Rail Operator or in a similar rigging role.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, safety standards, and relevant industry regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, and connectors.
- Certification in rigging, safety, or related fields is preferred.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
