Job Brief
As a Florist Designer, you will leverage your artistic flair and horticultural knowledge to design, cut, and arrange live, dried, or artificial flowers and foliage. Responsibilities
- Design and create custom floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces for various events and occasions.
- Cut, arrange, and maintain the freshness of live, dried, and artificial flowers and foliage.
- Consult with clients to understand their floral needs and preferences, providing expert recommendations.
- Maintain inventory of floral supplies and ensure all materials are organized and readily available.
- Stay updated on current floral design trends and techniques to enhance creativity and innovation.
- Manage the setup and breakdown of floral displays at events, ensuring all arrangements are presented flawlessly.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries or concerns with professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to develop seasonal displays and promotional materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Florist Designer or in a similar role within the floral industry.
- Strong understanding of floral design principles and techniques.
- Ability to work with a variety of floral materials, including fresh and dried flowers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
- Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility.
- Knowledge of basic business practices, including inventory management and pricing.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in floral design or related fields is a plus.
