Job Brief
As a Floor Refinisher, you will be responsible for restoring and maintaining the beauty of wooden floors through expert sanding, scraping, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities
- Scrape and sand wooden floors to achieve smooth and even surfaces using floor scrapers and sanding machines.
- Apply coats of finish to wooden floors, ensuring a durable and aesthetically pleasing outcome.
- Inspect floor surfaces for damage, wear, and imperfections, and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Prepare job sites by moving furniture and protecting surrounding areas from dust and debris.
- Maintain and service floor refinishing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to minimize hazards during the refinishing process.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project timelines and expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Floor Refinisher or in a similar role within the flooring industry.
- Strong knowledge of floor refinishing techniques, tools, and materials.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in the refinishing process.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods while working.
- Attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
