Job Brief
The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of mechanics and repair staff to ensure timely and efficient vehicle maintenance.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections for all fleet vehicles.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and fleet performance.
- Advise customers on recommended services and vehicle maintenance best practices.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for repairs.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and implement improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or vehicle repair.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising a team of mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in fleet operations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- ASE Certification or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.
