Responsibilities
- Conduct research on fish species, including their behavior, genetics, and disease management
- Monitor and analyze environmental conditions affecting aquatic habitats
- Collect and interpret biological data to assess the health of fish populations
- Develop and implement breeding and cultivation programs for fish species
- Collaborate with environmental agencies and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings and recommendations
- Participate in wildlife management and conservation initiatives
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in aquaculture and fishery science
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology, Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, or a related field
- Experience in fish culture, aquaculture, or wildlife research preferred
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data collection and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding fish management
- Experience with laboratory techniques and aquatic ecosystem assessments
- Strong communication and presentation skills for reporting findings
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel for field research and site assessments
