Job Brief

As a Fire Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in targeting, firing, and maintaining a variety of weapons systems used to neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This position requires a strong technical background in weaponry and systems operation, as well as proficiency in conducting preventive maintenance and inspections on ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills for establishing radio and wire communications, and demonstrate expertise in operating weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain field artillery, air defense systems, and naval artillery equipment.
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and storage of ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on weapons and related equipment.
  • Establish and maintain radio and wire communications for effective operations.
  • Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems for precision operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
  • Document maintenance activities and report any malfunctions or concerns.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and military regulations during all operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in firearms or related field preferred.
  • Experience with military weapon systems, including artillery, missiles, and torpedoes.
  • Proficiency in operating computer systems related to weapons targeting and launch.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and maintenance procedures in military operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in diverse environments.
  • Certification in firearms handling and safety is an advantage.
