Job Brief
As a Film Editor, you will play a pivotal role in the post-production process of films, videos, and other media formats. Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a finished product that matches the director’s vision.
- Work collaboratively with directors and producers to understand project goals and vision.
- Synchronize soundtracks with visual content to create seamless audio-visual experiences.
- Review footage for quality and continuity, ensuring the final product meets industry standards.
- Utilize film editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Implement visual effects, transitions, and color correction as needed to enhance storytelling.
- Organize and maintain a digital library of all footage and project files for easy access.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve editing skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Film Editor or in a similar role within the film, television, or media industry.
- Proficiency in film editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of timing and visual composition.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to receive and implement feedback.
- A degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous editing work is required.
