Job Brief
The Fiberglass Machine Operator is responsible for laminating layers of fiberglass on molds to create high-quality components, including boat decks, hulls, and bodies for golf carts and automobiles. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and hands-on experience in fiberglass manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fiberglass molding machines to ensure efficient production processes.
- Prepare molds by applying release agents and ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
- Laminating fiberglass layers accurately to achieve desired specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvement practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in fiberglass manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Fiberglass Machine Operator or in a related manufacturing role.
- Strong understanding of fiberglass properties and laminating techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using hand tools and machinery for fiberglass production.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
