Job Brief
As a Family Therapist, you will diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage and family systems. Utilizing psychotherapeutic and family systems theories, you will provide effective therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine the mental and emotional needs of clients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and therapeutic goals.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address cognitive, affective, and behavioral issues.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions to enhance communication and resolve conflicts.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to families in distress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in individual, couple, and family therapy.
- Strong understanding of psychotherapeutic and family systems theories and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in the field.
