Job Brief
As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a critical role in conducting research and investigations aimed at identifying, abating, or eliminating pollutants and hazards impacting the environment and public health. Leveraging your expertise in various scientific disciplines, you will collect, analyze, and synthesize data from air, water, soil, and other sources to inform recommendations and actions. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive field studies to assess environmental conditions and identify sources of pollution.
- Analyze and interpret environmental data related to air, water, and soil quality.
- Develop and implement strategies for pollution prevention and remediation.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations based on research findings.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community organizations to promote environmental health.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate environmental processes and impacts.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental issues, technologies, and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in environmental research or assessment, preferably in a laboratory or field setting.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certifications such as Certified Environmental Scientist (CES) or similar are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field sites as needed.
