Job Brief
The EMS Helicopter Pilot is responsible for the safe operation and navigation of helicopters for emergency medical services. This role requires a highly skilled pilot with a Commercial Pilot certificate and extensive experience in aerial navigation and emergency response. Responsibilities
- Operate helicopters for emergency medical transportation, ensuring the safety of patients and crew.
- Conduct pre-flight checks and inspections of aircraft systems to confirm airworthiness.
- Navigate flight routes effectively, utilizing GPS and other navigational tools.
- Communicate with ground control and medical teams to coordinate efficient transport operations.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust flight paths as necessary to ensure safety.
- Manage in-flight emergencies and perform critical decision-making during high-pressure situations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of flight logs and maintenance records as required by aviation regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification to stay current with aviation standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Pilot certificate with a helicopter rating.
