Job Brief
The Employee Development Director is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating comprehensive training and development programs within the organization. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs that align with organizational goals and employee development needs.
- Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve learning initiatives based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Lead a team of training professionals, providing direction and support to ensure high-quality training delivery.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and design targeted training solutions.
- Manage the budget for training and development activities, ensuring resource optimization.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities to promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in employee development and training methodologies.
- Evaluate and select external training vendors and partners to enhance internal capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in employee development, training management, or organizational development.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering effective training programs and adult learning theories.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
- Certifications in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD) are a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training needs and measure outcomes effectively.
