Job Brief
The Emergency Room Orderly plays a crucial role in supporting medical staff by ensuring the smooth operation of the emergency department. Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assist medical staff in preparing patients for procedures and examinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas and equipment.
- Stock and replenish medical supplies to ensure availability during emergencies.
- Assist with the movement and transportation of medical equipment as needed.
- Provide support to nurses and doctors by reporting patient conditions and concerns.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an emergency room or similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients compassionately.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, following proper techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic emergency procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
