Job Brief
As an Elementary School Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Responsibilities
- Implement and adapt lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Provide instruction in core subjects including math, science, language arts, and social studies.
- Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide feedback as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding educational goals and student progress.
- Prepare classroom materials and support activities as directed by the regular teacher.
- Assist in maintaining classroom order and discipline in accordance with school policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
- Valid teaching credential or substitute teaching license as required by the state.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
