Job Brief
The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by performing specialized diagnostic tests that assess the electrical activity of the brain and nervous system. Responsibilities
- Conduct neurodiagnostic tests, including Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), and Evoked Potentials (EP).
- Prepare and maintain equipment for optimal performance and accuracy.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret data.
- Document procedures, findings, and patient information accurately in medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about the procedures and what to expect.
- Stay current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and best practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEG T) or similar credential.
- Proficient in the use of neurodiagnostic equipment and software.
- Strong understanding of neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
