Job Brief
As a Dye Range Operator, you will be responsible for operating and tending to machines that bleach, shrink, wash, dye, or finish textiles and synthetic or glass fibers. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of dyeing processes, ensuring the highest quality in textile production. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in textile manufacturing and a solid grasp of color matching and dye application techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operate dyeing and finishing machines to achieve desired fabric color and quality.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain optimal performance.
- Prepare dye solutions and ensure accurate measurement of chemicals and dyes.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on dyeing equipment.
- Inspect dyed fabrics for consistency and quality, conducting tests as needed.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of dyeing processes, including batch numbers and dye lots.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout the dyeing process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in textiles or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Dye Range Operator or similar role in textile manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of dyeing techniques, color theory, and chemical handling.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot industrial dyeing machines.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and testing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
