Job Brief
As a Drywall Taper, you will play a crucial role in the finishing process of drywall installations. Your primary responsibility will be to seal joints between plasterboard or other wallboard materials to prepare surfaces for painting or papering. The ideal candidate will have experience in taping, mudding, and sanding drywall, along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Apply tape to joints between plasterboard or wallboard to create a seamless surface.
- Mix and apply joint compound to fill joints and cover fasteners.
- Smooth and sand the finished surface to ensure a flawless appearance.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and operational condition.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations throughout all phases of work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Drywall Taper or similar role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in drywall finishing.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
