Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team, responsible for applying plasterboard and other wallboard materials to ceilings and interior walls of buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing and finishing drywall, as well as proficiency in applying acoustical tiles and sound-reducing materials to enhance building acoustics. Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Install and finish drywall on interior walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth surface ready for painting or decoration.
- Apply plasterboard or other wallboard materials with precision and efficiency.
- Mount acoustical tiles, blocks, and sound-absorbing materials to enhance sound quality within buildings.
- Ensure all installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing drywall installations as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for cutting, shaping, and installing drywall and lath materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of drywall installation techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with acoustical tiles and soundproofing methods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Relevant certifications in drywall installation or construction safety preferred.
