Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address substance use and behavioral issues.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Educate clients and families about addiction, recovery processes, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to enhance client support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a substance abuse counselor.
  • Strong understanding of addiction treatment modalities and recovery principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in maintaining documentation and managing client records.
  • Knowledge of community resources and referral processes for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
