Job Brief
The Drilling Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of construction or extraction workers on drilling sites. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily drilling operations and manage field personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with engineers and other specialists to implement drilling plans and optimize performance.
- Monitor drilling progress, identify issues, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, documenting drilling activities and performance metrics.
- Manage inventory and procurement of drilling materials and equipment, ensuring availability for operations.
- Act as a liaison between management and field personnel, facilitating communication and addressing concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Drilling Foreman or similar role in the oil and gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate personnel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., H2S Awareness, First Aid, and CPR).
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to changing work environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Technical proficiency in drilling software and data analysis tools is a plus.
