Job Brief
As a Database Developer, you will design and implement strategies for enterprise databases and data warehouse systems while ensuring optimal performance and security. Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise database architectures and data warehouse systems.
- Set and enforce standards for database operations, programming, and query processes.
- Model, construct, and optimize large relational databases or data warehouses.
- Create and refine data models to enhance warehouse infrastructure and workflows.
- Integrate new systems into existing warehouse structures to improve functionality.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database design and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with software developers and IT teams to support data integration and application development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is a plus.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of data security principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
