Job Brief
The Cut Off Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending wood sawing machines, including advanced computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust wood sawing machines for optimal performance and accuracy.
- Operate cut off saws and CNC equipment to produce high-quality wood products.
- Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Implement safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw machines to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports as required.
- Follow detailed technical drawings and specifications during the cutting process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in woodworking or CNC operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cut Off Saw Operator or similar role in a woodworking environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and wood processing techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and safety documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
