Responsibilities

  • Calculate duties, tariffs, and taxes owed on imported merchandise.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and trade agreements.
  • Collaborate with importers and exporters to resolve discrepancies in customs declarations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation to customs authorities.
  • Advise clients on customs procedures and best practices for compliance.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required by regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, International Trade, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Customs Appraiser or in a similar customs-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with tariff classification and customs valuation methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification from a recognized customs authority is preferred.
