The Cue Selector is responsible for editing moving images on various media formats, including film and video, ensuring a cohesive final production. Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble footage from various sources to create a polished final product.
- Collaborate with producers and directors to understand project vision and requirements.
- Synchronize soundtracks with visual media to enhance overall production quality.
- Utilize industry-standard editing software and tools to manipulate images effectively.
- Review and revise edited content based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Maintain organized files of raw and edited footage for efficient access and retrieval.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging editing techniques to improve workflow.
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws and licensing agreements during the editing process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing and post-production processes.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and narrative structure.
- Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of sound editing and synchronization techniques is a plus.
- A degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, or a related field is preferred.
