Job Brief

As a Cruise Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting exceptional long-distance travel experiences, tours, and expeditions for individuals and groups. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. You will coordinate onboard activities, manage entertainment programs, and ensure a seamless guest experience, while effectively collaborating with various departments. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in hospitality, tourism, or event management, along with a keen understanding of travel logistics and guest relations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute engaging onboard activities and excursions tailored to diverse guest preferences.
  • Coordinate with entertainment staff to create and manage a comprehensive entertainment schedule.
  • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service and proactive problem-solving.
  • Manage logistics for tours and excursions, including transportation, permits, and local partnerships.
  • Conduct safety briefings and maintain compliance with all maritime regulations and safety protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote cruise activities and enhance guest engagement.
  • Facilitate feedback collection from guests to continuously improve services and offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cruise Director, Event Manager, or in a similar hospitality role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in multiple languages preferred.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle unexpected challenges with professionalism.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR and any relevant hospitality or tourism certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
