Job Brief
As a Cork Insulator, you will be responsible for lining and covering structures with insulating materials to enhance energy efficiency and thermal performance. This role requires a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail, as you will work with various insulation materials, including batt, roll, and blown insulation. Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials to walls, ceilings, and floors to prevent energy loss.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas accurately.
- Ensure proper sealing and fitting of insulation for maximum efficiency.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations while handling insulation materials.
- Assess and prepare areas for insulation installation, including weatherproofing.
- Collaborate with construction and building professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment for insulation installation to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide recommendations for insulation solutions based on building design and energy efficiency goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an insulation installer or in a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Certification in insulation installation or relevant trade credentials preferred.
