Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Cork Floor Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying blocks, strips, or sheets of cork flooring materials to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality installation and durability. The Cork Floor Installer should possess experience in flooring installation, a keen eye for detail, and strong knowledge of flooring materials and techniques. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, delivering exceptional results in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for cork flooring installation by cleaning, leveling, and repairing as necessary.
- Measure and cut cork flooring materials to fit specific areas accurately.
- Apply adhesive and install cork flooring blocks, strips, or sheets according to design specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of flooring materials for a polished finish.
- Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project updates and requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards throughout the installation process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cork Floor Installer or similar role in flooring installation.
- Strong understanding of cork flooring materials, installation techniques, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with flooring tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various physical conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in flooring installation are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
