Job Brief
As a Copper Plater, you will set up, operate, and maintain plating machines to apply a coating of copper or other metals on various metal or plastic products. This role involves immersing items in molten metal or utilizing electrolytic solutions to ensure optimal surface protection and aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal plating processes, a strong understanding of safety regulations, and proficiency in machine operation.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust plating machines to ensure proper coating thickness and quality.
- Operate electroplating equipment for copper and other metal applications.
- Monitor plating processes to maintain consistent quality control standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plating machines.
- Prepare and mix plating solutions according to specifications.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of plating activities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve plating techniques and reduce waste.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in plating or metallurgy is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Copper Plater or in a similar metal finishing role.
- Knowledge of plating processes, materials, and chemical safety regulations.
- Ability to operate and maintain plating machinery effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard safety practices and procedures.
