Responsibilities

  • Compile, analyze, and report biological data relevant to wildlife populations.
  • Educate the public about conservation laws and practices to promote compliance.
  • Assist in the apprehension of individuals violating wildlife regulations.
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies on wildlife protection initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for legal proceedings and policy-making.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about conservation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in wildlife management, environmental science, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • Certification in law enforcement or completion of a police academy program is preferred.
  • Proven ability to conduct investigations and gather evidence.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal wildlife laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for public engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Experience with wildlife management practices and data collection methods.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
