Job Brief
As a Concrete Pavement Installer, you will be responsible for laying out, cutting, and placing segmental paving units with precision and skill. This role requires a strong understanding of pavement installation techniques, materials, and safety practices. Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up work areas by clearing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Lay out and mark dimensions for segmental paving units according to project specifications.
- Cut and place paving units accurately, ensuring proper alignment and leveling.
- Install bedding and restraining materials to support and secure paving units.
- Mix and apply concrete and other materials as needed for installation.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in construction is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Concrete Pavement Installer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of segmental paving techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools relevant to concrete installation.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labor.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
