Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Shot Peening Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain CNC machines to perform shot peening processes on various materials, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications. You will be responsible for setting up machinery, monitoring production processes, and conducting inspections to guarantee precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC shot peening machines to process metal and other materials according to production specifications.
- Set up machinery and equipment for shot peening operations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to quality specifications using precision measuring tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation for traceability and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC operator, specifically in shot peening or surface treatment processes.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
