Job Brief
The Computer Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in supporting and maintaining computer laboratory environments. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software in laboratory settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems and peripherals.
- Assist users in effectively utilizing computer resources and software applications.
- Monitor laboratory equipment and software licenses to ensure compliance and functionality.
- Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades on laboratory systems to enhance performance.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, repairs, and maintenance logs.
- Implement and uphold laboratory safety and operational protocols.
- Provide training and support for students and staff on laboratory technologies.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a technical support or laboratory technician role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
